Fabio has a PhD in Biology and Specialization in Microbiology and Virology; he worked as a post-doc at Temple University's medical school from 1991 to 1995.
Head of the Food Control Laboratory of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale PLV Turin-Italy and of the National Reference Laboratory for CPS.
Since 2003, he is technical inspector of ACCREDIA, the only recognized Italian accreditation body. He is technical expert in UNI and ISO working groups for the review and study of new standards in the microbiological field.
Reviewer in the board of national and international journals in the field of food microbiology, food-borne diseases, etc.
