This document describes the method for PCR serotyping of Listeria

monocytogenes. This molecular method is based on the amplification of specific region on

the genome of Listeria monocytogenes. Depending on the serogroups, these regions are

present or absent. An amplification by multiplex PCR of the genetic markers: lmo1118,

lmo0737, orf2110, orf2819 is performed. A sequence specific of Listeria genus located on the

prs gene (phosphoribosylpyrophosphate synthetase) and a specific sequence of the species
