The EURL organizes Proficiency Tests (PT) on detection and identification of regulated quarantine plant-parasitic nematodes in order to assess and ensure the reliability and accuracy of the analyses carried out by the National Reference Laboratories (NRLs).
Proficiency tests are performed under accreditation according to the ISO 17043 standard.
Proficiency tests registration, participation and information are accessed by the following link: https://leila.anses.fr/
The European Union Reference Laboratory for Plant Parasitic Nematodes yearly organizes a workshop, especially intended for the National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) in the European Union. The purpose of these workshops is to inform the participants about the activities of the EURL, to present and discuss the results of Proficiency Tests (PT), to present and discuss scientific research projects and to exchange information on the European Union legislation, methods, and other relevant subjects.

Training on Species Detection of Globodera Rostochiensis & G. Pallida by Real-Time PCR from Isolated Nematode Cysts - Webinar
The training was implemented on-line as a webinar and aimed to qualify and enhance the performance of the National Reference Laboratories (NRL) staff for diagnostics of Globodera rostochiensis and G. pallida.
More than 50 participants representing 23 NRLs were connected to the event which provided guidance and introduced the different analytical steps for a reference method for species detection from isolated nematode cysts using a real-time PCR test.
