We are please to invite you to the

10th Brucellosis Annual Workshop

This year, the workshop will be held on Maisons-Alfort in Anses on Thursday 28 and in Paris, In OIE on Friday 29.

    The workshop will cover, among others, the following topics :

  • Annual NRLs activity report
  • Update in serological methods
  • Update of OIE Manual
  • Diagnostic of Brucella Canis, experiences and discussion

We are pleased to welcome Dr Jane Megid as Invited Speaker for this seminar.

 

Free communication / posters will be proposed to participating NRLs.

On Thursday 28 evening, we will organize a visit in Arc de Triomphe - Paris.

After the visite we invite you to join the restaurant "Le Boeuf sur le toit"  for a convivial dinner (with Jazz Band).

If you wish to join the convivial event, please specify it in the registration form.

The price is around 65 € (including visit), and will be deducted from your daily allowances.

If you wish to participate in the evening, please provide you with 2 subway tickets.

 
 

Kindly register online (1 form submitted per person attending) to the workshop by 2017, August 31 even if you cannot attend the workshop.

Please note that only one person per NRL (EU Member States as well as Norway, Switzerland, Candidate Countries and invited Balkan countries) is eligible for reimbursement.

Please take the opportunity of the form to propose any topic you wish to present as there will be a time dedicated for NRLs communication.

 

Lunch will be arranged by ANSES on Thursday 28  (ANSES cafeteria - please, read Practical information).

To go to Oie - 12 rue de Prony - 75017 on Friday 29 in the morning, please, provide you with 1 subway ticket.

DEMAND FOR EXTENSION OF STAY BEFORE BOOKING YOUR TRAVEL

If you want to stay for personal reasons, in this case your stay costs related to this extension cannot be paid by Anses.

So you will have to contact yourself with the hotel to reserve the additional nights using booking form for hotels (see behind - booking form hotel).

 

We have already booked the hotel rooms for eligible participants in Kyriad, Petit Caporal and Adagio hotel.

We will pay the nights of the 27 and 28 September 2017 to the hotel.

The following hotel are near to  Anses (walking distance) and propose a discount rate if you contact them with dedicated ANSES form.

Lunch will take place in our cafeteria, and you are to pay directly to them.  Please bring some cash with you to cover for lunch. There is no fixed price, it depends on what you eat, but lunch might cost 10-15 euros…

 

In order to simplify administrative issues we will manage your travel & stay and pay directly the bills.

We may inform you that only 2 nights (27 and 28 September) are eligible if you don’t apply for an extension of stay for reduced fare rate.

 

As soon as possible before the event

Please send by e-mail the Financial Identification Form (FIF) - The FIF enables us to identify the payee. Without it the participant will pay directly all the costs.

15 days after the event

ORIGINAL return boarding pass/train ticket must be sent back in a 2-weeks delay after the event (meeting/training session/workshop) to :

Recent publication : Brucella suis biovar 2 infection in humans in France: emerging infection or better recognition?

Brucella suis biovar 2 (BSB2) is mainly encountered in hares and wild boars (Sus scrofa), and is known to have very low pathogenicity to humans with only two case reports published in the literature. Human cases of brucellosis caused by BSB2 were identified through the national mandatory notification of brucellosis. The identification of the bacterium species and biovar were confirmed by the national reference laboratory. Epidemiological data were obtained during medical follow-up visits. Seven human cases were identified between 2004 and 2016 in France, all confirmed by the isolation of BSB2 in clinical specimens.
