The EURL for rabies is launching a call for participation in a rabies diagnostic proficiency test for 2025.

The test will be performed on a unique panel to evaluate the rabies diagnosis conclusion on 10 samples using at least one of the following techniques:

• FAT (Fluorescent Antibody Test),

• RTCIT (Rabies Tissue Culture Infection Test),

• Conventional RT-PCR,

• Real-Time RT-PCR.

  • 6^th January 2025: Call for participation
  • 3^rd February 2025: Deadline for registration
  • 18^th May 2025: Sending of proficiency test items
  • 23^th June 2025: Deadline for receipt of results and of the acknowledgment form
  • 15^th September 2025: Deadline for sending the report
